This is our Dinner Group
There are five couples, counting the Hubstir and myself..
The four women and myself started working together approximately
15 to 16 years ago.
One night we met for dinner and decieded it would be a good idea
to meet every other month for dinner, taking turns hosting.
Our spouses have also become friends over the years which has been awesome to watch.
~
We have been through, marriages, divorce, deaths, births, illness, struggles and celebrations.
The highs and the lows.
These women love me even when I mess up....and I have.
These women love me even when I mess up....and I have.
We know all the "stuff" each has dealt with and are currently dealing with.
We are very much a family of friends.
I can't imagine not having them in my life
and
I'm so thankful for each one of them.
Like all of my friendships, I value each of them.
Once I call you friend,
you are always my friend.
In church this morning we are discussing relationships...
one of the key verses;
"Friends love through all kinds of weather,
and families stick together in all kinds of trouble."
Proverbs 17:17

No matter what,
I am here for my friends.

I am here for my friends.

I know when I need someone
they will show up.....
Friendship, the real thing always , it's what echos from my heart today....
Oh, so true! I do not have a sister and my girl friends are like sisters to me. They double my joy and divide my grief and help me to bear my burdens. God has blessed me greatly!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the "echos of your heart" today.
Aren't friends just the best? I just came across this quote about friendship...so I'll share it here.
ReplyDelete'I think if I've learned anything about friendship, it's to hang in, stay connected, fight for them, and let them fight for you. Don't walk away, don't be distracted, don't be too busy or tired, don't take them for granted. Friends are part of the glue that holds life and faith together.' ~Jon Katz
So beautiful, Debi. I'm happy that you have so many friends in your family; such a blessing to be sure. Love the photo's also. :)
