Victoria B.C. ~ High Tea

The ferry ride from Tswassan B.C. to Victoria  on July 16th was beautiful, such a calming mode of transportation.

Made a new friend on the ride over, she happened to live in Victoria and had lots of points of interest to share along the way. Turns out she is a published Author as well, that to me was very exciting.
Karen McLaughlin, From this Distance and Choral...
She is also an artist, so much talent in one little woman!
I look forward to ordering her books and sharing them with my book club,
and staying in touch with her too!

Our hotel room was facing the inner Harbor and both the room and the view were so great.
We didn't get to our room until almost 2:30, so we had lunch  went back to our room and
just enjoyed, not being on the go and our view.

We watch many sea planes land from our balcony.
We had a reservation for 8:30 P.M. for High Tea at The Empress.
It was so incredible, as is the Hotel...prepare for a plethora of photos!!

Part of the tea room....

Beautiful glass ceiling

Fresh blueberries and cream, first course....

High Chair :-)

After Tea we toured the Hotel and the grounds....

The marble throughout this place was so beautiful!

The walk back to our hotel was perfect.....

Happy Anniversary (day early ) to us!

Ferry coming in the next morning....
Well, we learned we had too little time to do much but enjoy the beauty, one day is not enough.
We had to catch an early afternoon ferry back to Vancouver today the 17th,
were we will celebrate our anniversary and Buster's Birthday on the 18th...
We will return, with more days to see all there is to see.
Photographs, thankful for my camera it's been put to good use....
It's what echos from my heart today.....
