I've looked forward to meeting my friend from My Front Porch, Judy for sometime now.
She lives in the Frasier Valley and I have loved her blog and her photos, the photos of her Dairy farm
that actually made me want to visit Canada in the first place.
After years of being blogging buddies we finally met face to face.
Judy and her sweet husband Elmer drove 90 minutes to pick us up at our hotel and take us up
to Grouse Mountain....where we rode a gondola up the mountain side for a lovely dinner. Only to be
topped by a beautiful view of Vancouver at night...
topped by a beautiful view of Vancouver at night...
The ride up the mountain was so beautiful, the healthy greener than green pines we passed through
were awesome!
Here we are atop the mountain, in person!
Really was so thrilled to meet her and Elmer.
Below is what Elmer and I chose for an appetizer... it was described as
cheese and french bread ? The photo will forever make me laugh....
nothing either of us imagined :-)
Dinner was amazing, Halibut, and dessert, yummo!!
After a great dinner and conversation we went out on the deck for a photo of downtown Vancouver
and so much more.......We left knowing a little more about each other than we did before.
Elmer and Judy, friends of ours~
Really good, good people...
The icing on the cake of this evening, Judy gifted me a copy of her 2nd published cook book!!
I can't wait to get home and try these recipes out.
Feeling mighty blessed that they would take the time to spend and create such a special evening for us
on our last night in Vancouver.
Ending this last day with a happy heart,
it's what echos from my heart today.
Awwwe...such a nice re-cap of a most lovely evening! Thank-you. It was a special evening...and so nice to meet 'face-to-face'.
