Thankful Thursday ~

Linking up with Rebecca Jo and http://www.knitbygodshand.com/
Today is just another day of being thankful, only purposing to put it in print...

Thankful for ~

~ The amazing women I have come to know through our blogs! Hard to describe the bond, smile...

~ For 19 Kids and Counting.  I confess. the way they live their lives is refreshing!

~ The angels on earth also known as Hospice. I've seen them in action many times in my life. I currently am
aware of three women that are in the stage of angels.....My heart breaks, yet thankful for those called to
be at their sides. They make a difference.

~ Family...always.

Take a moment and note what you are thankful for.
It's what echos from my heat today.....

  2. Sweet picture of your family. I like 19 kids and counting too, although I don't seem to watch it real often. Hospice is helping us now with my mom after helping my brother last fall. I'm very thankful for them.

  3. I always say I think Hospice nurses are angels themselves. How they are so kind, gentle & comforting in such a hard stage of life.
19 kids & counting... I LOVE that show. They come & speak every now & then at our HUGE church in town. I just am amazed that they really life like that... but they do. What an example.

  5. So, so much to be thankful for. Like you, Debi, I'm thankful for the blog friends I've made over the years. Some have left by death which has saddened me so, and some just don't want to blog anymore which I can understand also. Those friends mostly use FB which I do also, but I still
want to blog every now and then. :)

Hospice was wonderful for our mother. Mom was a "straight shooter" and one day asked the nurse what was going on, and she was told "you're dying". She made some phone calls to the people she didn't see often, and to hometown friends as well who came to see her. One day the nurse came in, looked at me and said "you mom will be taken to the hospice facility today". I must have looked a wreck after not sleeping for a few nights. Mom rode out of the house on the gurney, and I told her "Mom, you look like a queen or something" to which she replied "I am and don't you ever forget it." She was a "trip". I'll leave you with this; her home hospice nurse had the nickname "Tweet". Mama called her "Twit" (not on purpose but Tweet always smiled at that.

Have a good weekend. I hope your shoulder is healing well.
    xoxo

  6. This is the precise weblog for anybody who needs to seek out out about this topic. You notice so much its almost arduous to argue with you. You positively put a brand new spin on a subject that's been written about for years. Nice stuff, simply nice!
