Linking up once again with Rebecca Jo over at Knit by God's Hand. I love her name, Rebecca Jo roles off the tongue much like my beloved Dorthy Gale......

I'm also thankful for my love of reading. Never really became a reader until 25. Currently finishing a book by Enuma Okoro.
"Okoro's search for a community where she can embrace both her turbulent love of God and her passion for gorgeous shoes. It's a story of longing and promise-and God's persistent presence."
I love her humor, and how she goes about figuring it all out. I'm half way through it and at this point 5 stars!!

What are you thankful for today? Hoping you take some to to consider all there is!
It's what echos from my heart today!
You just made my momma happy comparing my name to Dorothy Gale - The Wizard of Oz is her life - seriously - her whole house is decorated in it - we grew up with it being an EVENT every year when it came on TV. ... but what really rolls off of a tongue is my dad's side that calls me "Becky Jo" - how country is that? :)
ReplyDeleteSomeone with a great sense of humor? I'll have to check out that book.
Thanks again for joining me in linking up.
The Wizard of Oz was one of my favorite childhood movies. I always held my breath when Dorothy stepped out of her house after it landed in Munchkinland and the black and white film was suddenly filled with beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteToday, I'm thankful for that memory because I haven't seen that movie in a really long time. So, thanks... :)
Right at this moment, and for quite a while now, I'm thankful for you, Debi. Your words of encouragement mean so much to me. Feeling so blessed we have become friends.

I love to read too and that books sounds interesting. We watched Wizard of Oz growing up too, but the monkeys always scared me to death, so I really didn't like it too much. :)
ReplyDeleteWould you believe I don't believe I have ever watched the entire Wizard of Oz. Isn't that sad? I need to put that on my list to do. I love reading, i was blogging for books, but I had to many going and got overwhelmed. I like to read because I want to not because I have to get it done for someone else. Have a great week!
